This workshop invites professional graphic artists, designers, and design students to work one-on-one with Kit Hinrichs, whose flag collection is on exhibit in Long May She Wave: A Graphic History of the American Flag.  One of the world’s leading graphic designers, Hinrichs is a partner in the international design firm, Pentagram.  The class will begin with a brief history on the flag, followed by a design project where the flag is fashioned using your media of choice. This activity is inspired by Hinrichs’s book, Stars & Stripes: Ninety-Six Top Designers and Graphic Artists Offer Their Personal Interpretations of Old Glory.
